It's already 32 degrees and I'm grateful for one thing in particular

Hey Reader,

My gosh, this 'heat bubble' we're having in Europe is something, right? It's going to be 39 degrees Celsius here tomorrow... pffff

Before, I had my office in the attic, and no air conditioning, and I wouldn't have been able to get any work done after 11 am. Even with fans on.

But now, with my office a floor lower, and aircon, I am still semi-cool, and to be honest, I don't think I've ever been happier with an expensive purchase in my life.

If you're reading this from somewhere in this heat bubble, too, like France, where it gets over 42 degrees, please take it easy this week! And I hope you found your version of cool, whatever that looks like.

And without boasting too much about my aircon, I did realise that while it's not doing the work for me, it's making it possible for me to work.

Without it, I probably would have joined the dogs on the cool kitchen tiles right now.

So while the cool air isn't writing the copy, creating the automations or replying to clients, it is creating the environment for me to do those things. Quietly, unglamorously in the background.

Now, I know not everyone has aircon, Reader, and that's kind of my point. You might have closed the shutters at 6 am. You might have decided that you're not working between 11 am and 4pm. You might have fans on all over the house. Whatever you're doing, you're doing it to create conditions to function.

And your business has this too.

There are so many unglamorous tools in our businesses that create the conditions for running our businesses and doing our marketing. When they're in place, doing the work is easier.

What that is, is different for everyone. It might be templates that simplify creating the thing, a way to decide what to write today without spending an hour debating it with yourself, or if-this-then-that tools that connect things for you that you would otherwise need to do by hand.

So this is not an email about 'doing more'. This is me saying it's ok to rest, cool down, or do whatever you need to do in your life right now, and it's ok to simplify your business too. Find tools that help with that.

And then hit reply and let me know what the aircon in your marketing is.

And then, go cool down. Rest, eat an ice cream, and find the shade. <3

Warmest wishes

Natalie
